in 1977 Martin designed a lightweight Vane A at 25lbs "Tequila", the concept was good but the materials and my knowledge as a 17 year old was not up to it. in 2025 I decided to revisit the lightweight Vane A concept the outcome was the design "TEQ2" or as the boat was named AMLOR ( A momentary lapse of reason) she weighs in at 11.5kg.

its first real outing was at the A nationals at Fleetwood in 2026, I was unable to sail but Mark Dicks took the reigns. The weather forecast of high winds didn't bode well for a little boat but am pleased to say it exceeded all expectations. The final result was not as high as hoped but for the first time Mark had sailed it, the boat and Mark did extremely well. A few tweaks to the build for next year will hopefully see us near the top (fingers crossed!)
